Upgrade Cards Overview

Scarlet Skips features 10 unique upgrade cards that players can collect during runs. Each upgrade modifies Scarlet's jump rope in different ways — adding ropes, increasing height, boosting score, or providing defensive benefits. Upgrades are offered randomly as you jump, and you must choose which ones to pick up. The combination of upgrades you choose defines your build and determines how high you can go and how many points you'll score.

Upgrade Tiers

Upgrades come in four tiers: Common (white), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), and Legendary (gold). Higher-tier upgrades are rarer but more powerful. The tier system ensures that each run feels different — you never know exactly which upgrades you'll be offered, so you must adapt your strategy on the fly.

How to Choose Upgrades

Every upgrade pick is a build decision. Early in a run (Ground Level), take Extra Ropes or defensive cards to establish a base. In the Cloud Layer, add score multipliers once your rhythm is stable. Above 2000m, prioritize survival — Reinforce Jumprope and Shield keep a promising run alive. And if Golden Rope ever appears, take it: the 3x score multiplier is the key to billion-point runs.
